TimeLocked (“the app”, “we”) lets you lock away sensitive notes — a seed
phrase, a password, a recovery code — behind a self-imposed time delay.
Privacy is the core of the product, so we collect as little as possible and
never see the contents you store. This policy explains exactly what is and
isn’t collected.
What we never collect
Your note contents. Titles, bodies and any secret you store are encrypted on your device with a key held in the device Keychain. We have no servers that can read them.
Your identity. No account, no email, no name, no phone number, no advertising identifier (IDFA). The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
Where your data lives
On your device. Your encrypted notes are stored locally.
In your private iCloud. If iCloud is enabled, your encrypted notes sync through your own private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. They remain encrypted and are accessible only to you. We never receive them. iCloud is also used to obtain trusted server time so the unlock delay cannot be bypassed by changing the device clock. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics we do collect
To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous,
non-identifying product-usage analytics via Google Firebase Analytics. This
is limited to coarse signals such as:
which screens are viewed and which actions occur (e.g. a note was created, opened, revealed or deleted; a purchase was started);
non-identifying attributes such as a note’s lock-duration bucket, item type, and a bucketed count of how many items you hold;
standard technical data Firebase records, such as app version, device model and coarse region.
These analytics never include your note titles, contents,
decrypted data or exact unlock dates. They are not linked to your identity
and are not used to track you. Data processing by Google is described in
Firebase’s privacy documentation
and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Purchases
TimeLocked Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App
Store. We never see or store your payment details; purchase validation is
handled by Apple’s StoreKit. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices
You can turn iCloud sync off in the app’s Settings, and delete your iCloud copies while keeping local notes.
Deleting the app removes the local data on your device.
Analytics collection can be disabled in a future build via the in-app consent control; if you wish to opt out now, contact us below.
Children
TimeLocked is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
